They sold almost everything, flew to Indonesia and were smuggled from there to Australia. Zahra goes into great detail about the dangers on a smuggler's boat as well as the extended wait in a detention camp where refugees wait, sometimes for several years, for a host country. Interspersed with her narrative are highlights of where refugees from Iran end up, what other challenges they might face, as well as statistics that help readers understand just how large the worldwide refugee issue is.
