Advice from a Jilted Bride is only the second book from Piper Rayne that I have had the pleasure to read. And I floved this book! The Baileys books are a family saga romance series and Advice from a Jilted Bride was an outstanding read. I laughed, cried and swooned so hard with this one, and I truly can’t recommend the author or book enough.Advice from a Jilted Bride is a sexy, sweet, and heartwarming romance written in dual POV. I loved the light angst that Piper Rayne brought into this book with the woman who was left at the altar—although for those readers who aren’t a fan of angst, don’t let that stop you from reading this one. It’s truly light angst and just enough to enhance the plot as would be expected for such an emotional event. Piper Rayne’s writing really draws me in. While reading Advice from a Jilted Bride, I felt like the book was paced perfectly to draw me in and hold me captive. Also, I loved the slow burn of Wyatt and Brooklyn’s romance. I had a few predictions about their relationship and while some of them proved true, others didn’t, making Advice from a Jilted Bride less predictable of a read for me. (I sometimes feel like I have read every book out there, but then I come across a new author, or a book, and that predictability is diminished. Which, let’s face it, is grounds to celebrate!)Advice from a Jilted Bride is a friends-to-lovers romance based in a small town in Alaska. The Bailey family will certainly capture your hearts as they have me and I truly want a book for each of them. This coming from the woman who’s not crazy about small-town romances, 😉!! But Piper Rayne’s written two books now for the Baileys, and both of them have completely captured my heart. Their unwavering love and unconditional support of one another is so heartfelt and satisfying all in itself. Yet Piper Rayne upped the stakes by injecting humor and a new hot and billionaire that was never looking for a relationship. Still, a relationship is exactly what Wyatt found. The relationship that builds between Brooklyn and Wyatt was beautiful and I know readers are just going to love this one as much as I did! After being left at the altar by a text message, Brooklyn needs to guard her heart. Brooklyn Bailey is about to get married when she receives a TEXT from her soon to be husband that he can't go through with the wedding! All her family rallies around her and taker her back to her apartment that she was to live with her new husband. Brooklyn starts throwing out Jeff's stuff and tosses a book into the hall and it hits Wyatt and cuts his forehead. Brooklyn checks on him to make sure he's ok. She then decides to go on her honeymoon alone but finds out that her ex cashed in her ticket so she can't go. She decides not to tell her family and just holes up in her apartment. Wyatt sees her and decides to take care of her. He encourages her to expand her essential oils and helps her with the business part of it. Brooklyn knows that he's the manager of the hotel she works at but not that he's really the owner's son. What will she do when she finds out? Will Wyatt figure out how to keep Brooklyn before it's too late? Will her family let him live? Piper Rayne never disappoints with any of the books and this one is no exception. There's so much story here and I enjoyed it all. We get a sneak peak at the next book and it looks really good. I read an advanced copy but have the book now.
